Up and running in 30 minutes flat
Faced with the scale and legitimacy of the requests to try the Invincible Voice prototype, we have worked to make it available in self-service. It is imperfect, experimental, and comes without support… but it is real.

At this stage, our goal is not mass-market adoption, but rather to enable AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) professionals to build on our advances—available in open source—to enhance their own solutions.

The available languages are French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and German.

This free access has been made possible thanks to the generous support of Gradium.
Step 1 – Create your account
Child’s play! Well… we hope so!

From a computer equipped with a microphone and speakers, go to https://invincible-voice.kyutai.org/

Tip: For better visibility, make sure to view this page from a computer as well.

Step 2 – Adjust the settings
By far the most important step! You can come back to it regularly to refine and improve your experience.

Let’s start with the voice
You can (i) choose from the voice library or (ii) create your own voice from just a 10-second sample!

The quality of the result depends directly on the quality of your recording (clear sound, no background noise, only one person speaking).

Describe yourself
Be as specific as possible! This will help Invincible Voice understand the context of the conversation.

See the example opposite.

Tip: if you’re lucky enough to have a strong digital footprint, ask ChatGPT or Gemini to write your profile.

Let’s go further…
Enter your friends’ first names so you don’t have to type them each time. Do the same for key phrases from your daily life (for example: “give me water through the feeding tube”).

Even better: Add a document. Here too, you can ask ChatGPT or another AI to create briefing notes on the topics that matter most to you. That’s the key to having high-quality, in-depth conversations.

Step 3 – Let’s start the conversation

Just like in real life, there are two ways to start a conversation: on your own initiative, or at someone else’s.

On your own initiative
Let’s imagine you want to introduce yourself. You type “who I'm” and Invincible Voice automatically suggests four sentences (on the left).
You’ll then understand how important the Step 2 settings are. If one of the suggestions suits you, just click on it and it will be spoken in your voice.
If not, edit the closest response to refine and complete it (see image below).

Initiated by someone else

Invincible Voice transcribes in real time what it hears — for example: “Hi Dad! It’s Luis. Do you have time to talk about my English presentation?”
If one of the suggested replies suits you, click on it and it will be spoken in your voice.
If not, edit the closest response to refine and complete it.

Best practices

-
Minimize background noise (music, etc.)
-
Only one person should speak at a time
-
At its current stage, Invincible Voice does not handle abrupt topic changes very well. Don’t hesitate to end the conversation and start a new one
-
Your conversation partner should provide context: “Hi Dad! It’s Luis.”

Your turn!

Kyutai is a research lab, not a software company: there is no finished product, no support, and no after-sales service. And Olivier is living with ALS, which inevitably slows things down—despite his intensive use of AI.

Thank you for your understanding.
